Part of the reason for slacking off, I think, was more than the busy holiday schedule, but the apparent need to produce some kind of blog entry that had serious meaning to it. You know, something deep, insightful, and moving.
When half your thoughts revolve around eating cheese and crackers, watching movies, and scratching your belly (and the other half around programming tactics), those types of entries are hard to come by.
In any case, today I decided to be a happy, chipper representative for the Bank of America "Save the Change" program. Basically, any change left over after you purchase something gets put into your savings account. So, for instance, I buy something for $12.45 on my debit card; BofA rounds up to the next nearest dollar, and at the end of the day puts that money into my savings account, in this case, 55 cents. This way, I'm actually putting money into my savings account without having to put a huge chunk in all at one time. So far, I've doubled my savings!!!. Which is to say, not much at all when you examine my (in-)considerable wealth.
